morning. Pick up at airport. Transfer to Ha Long by car. Board private boat
and enjoy a seafood lunch on board. A 4-hour-boat trip to visit Thien Cung cave (grotto of the
Heavenly Palace), famous for its stalagmites and stalactites, and Dau Go Cave (grotto of the Wooden Stakes), where in 1288
one of Vietnam’s most famous generals, Tran Hung Dao, amassed hundreds of
stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongul army. Enjoy a sea-food lunch on board. Dinner and
overnight on board. (L,D) Day 2 HA LONG – HANOI After
breakfast, a 4 - hour boat trip for viewing numerous types of islands on the
bay. Enjoy a sea-food lunch on board. Afternoon, transfer back Hanoi, en
route, break the journey to visit Sao Do embroidery factory of the disabled

visit Bat Trang village, where around 2,000
families has been creating earth-ware and ceramic creations since the 15th
century. Afternoon, a city tour to visit Temple of Literature, Museum of
History, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple. An -hour-cyclo tour in historic Old
Quarter. In the evening, enjoy the very unique art of Vietnam: water puppet
show. Overnight in Hanoi. (B,L,D) Day 4 HANOI – HUE A morning
city tour to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s House-on-Stilts,
One-Pillar Pagoda and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Transfer to
Noi Bai for flight to Hue
at 12.30H. Arrive in Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Pick up at airport, and transfer to visit Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, Dong Ba Market. In the evening, enjoy traditional folk songs
on Perfume River. Overnight in Hue. (B,L,D) Day 5 HUE – DA NANG – HOI AN A morning
boat trip on the romantic Perfume River to visit local families making
conical hats and incenses, continue to visit Hue’s best-known religious site,
Thien Mu Pagoda. Car pick
up to visit Imperial Citadel, from where the Nguyen dynastry
ruled between 1802 and 1945. Afternoon, transfer to Danang.
The scenic route passes by the photogenic
fishing village of Lang Co before climbing over Hai
Van Pass (the Pass of Ocean Clouds). Arrive in Danang, visit Cham Museum,
the best collection of Cham artifacts in the world. On the way to Hoi An,
break the journey to visit the Marble Mountain, a large garden mount complex
and invaluable gift of nature, listed as a national heritage. Arrive in Hoi
An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries. Overnight in
Hoi An. (B,L,D) Day 6 HOI AN – SAIGON A walking
tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ houses, the
400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, ancient pagodas and temples, Fujion Congregration Hall.
Leave Hoi An for Danang
airport to catch flight to Ho Chi Minh City in late afternoon. Overnight in
Ho Chi Minh City. (B,L,D) Day 7 SAIGON – CU CHI – SAIGON Transfer to
visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels, the vestiges of the American war, an
underground tunnel system constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters
during the long struggle for independence. En route to Cu Chi,
seasonally you can see how rural people live and work, view occupations such
as cashew nut growing, rice farming and rice paper production. Return to Ho
Chi Minh City in the afternoon for a half-day city tour. Visit Reunification
Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and Ben Thanh Market in the city’s bustling Chinatown. Overnight
in Ho Chi Minh City. (B,L,D) Day 8 SAIGON – VINH LONG – SAIGON Depart to Vinh Long, visit My Thuan
suspension bridge en route. Arrive in Vinh Long. A
boat trip on Mekong River to view daily lives of people who work and play on
waterways of Mekong Delta. Visit Cai Be floating
market, a typical bustling trade on water of Southern villagers. Continue to
small channel of An Binh Islet. Visit ceramic tile
factory, coconut-candy factory, and the famous Bonsai of gardener Sau Giao. Transfer back Ho Chi

ruins at Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, the Elephant Terraces, the Leper King Terrace. Afternoon, visit the epic Angkor Wat,
view its extraordinary architecture and bas-reliefs. End the day by a
spectacular sunset viewed from the mountain temple of Phnom Bakheng. Overnight in Siem

the graceful 11th century Temple of Shiva – Banteay
Srei and the Banteay Samre Temple. On the way back, break the journey at the
