7 days from Hanoi to Saigon (EV14-07)

Itinerary

 

Day 1  HANOI ARRIVAL

Arrive in Ha Noi, picked up and transfer to hotel for check in. In the afternoon, take a half day city tour to visit: 36 Old Quarter
streets, Hang Be market, Temple of Literature – the first ancient university in Viet Nam. Enjoy traditional water puppet show
in the evening. Have local dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2  HANOI – HA LONG – HANOI

Depart to Ha Long by car. Enjoy the interesting 3–hour drive to Ha Long, along the way you will see rice fields, water
buffalos and daily Vietnamese village life, stop to visit Dong Trieu pottery workshop. Arrive in Ha Long and board in a
private boat to visit Thien Cung Cave (grotto of the heavenly Place) and Dau Go Cave (Grotto of the wooden stakes). Enjoy
fresh seafood lunch on boat. Back to Hanoi in the afternoon. Dinner at hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3  HANOI – HUE

Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh’s house-on-stilts, One Pillar Pagoda. Transfer to Noi Bai
airport to take a short flight to Hue city. Arrive Hue, check in hotel. In the afternoon, depart to visit Imperial Citadel, enjoy
a musical royal show at ancient theatre in Imperial Citadel, and continue to visit Tu Duc Mausoleum and shopping at Dong Ba
market. Overnight in Hue.

Day 4  HUE – HOI AN

A boat trip on the Perfume River, stop over to visit Thien Mu pagoda, situated on the bank of river. Continue to visit Minh
Mang Mausoleum and Khai Dinh Mausoleum. Have lunch at a typical restaurant, then transfer to Hoi An by car (through
Hai Van pass). Check in hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5  HOI AN – DA NANG – SAIGON

In the morning, visit Hoi An ancient town: walk around Hoi An market, Tan Ky ancient house, Phuc Kien temple, Japanese
Covered Bridge and go shopping. After lunch, transfer to Da Nang airport to take a flight to Saigon. Check in hotel. The
rest of time is free at leisure. Have dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 6  SAIGON – CU CHI – SAIGON

After breakfast, visit Cu Chi tunnel – the underground system with a length of over 200 km, is the vestiges of the American
war, was constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. Return to Saigon at
noon. After lunch, take a half day city tour to visit central quarters where there are many houses and buildings constructed
under French domination: Notre Dame Cathedral and Center Post Office. Continue to visit China town, Cho Lon with its
Binh Tay market and Thien Hau pagoda. Have dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 7  DEPARTURE

Free at leisure until car pick up and transfer to airport and take flight back home.
