1 HANOI ARRIVAL Arrive in Hanoi. Tranfer to hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight in Hanoi. (D) Day
2 HANOI A morning city tour of
Vienam's capital. Hanoi is a unique city with
tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, ancient temples, old
pagodas and peaceful lakes. Visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s
house-on-stills, One-Pillar pagoda. Continue to West Lake, the largest lake
of Hanoi imbued with myths and legends, visit Tran Quoc
pagoda, one of the oldest Buddhist pagodas in Vietnam. Visit Temple of Literature.
Afternoon, after a visit to Museum of Ethnology, take a two-hour cyclo tour in the Old Quarter with 36 streets named after
the goods once sold there, stop at Hang Be market for a visit and for
shopping. Evening enjoy water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi. (B,L,D) Day
3 HANOI – HOA BINH Depart for Hoa Binh, 80 km west of Hanoi,
via Song Da Hydroelectric Power Plant. Visit Giang Mo Village (ethnic Muong).
After picnic lunch, take a boat trip on Da River tovisit Muon Tru Village. Evening, enjoy ruou
can (wine drunk out of a jar through pipes) and music performance. Overnight
in Hoa Binh. (B,L,D) Day
4 HOA BINH – MAI CHAU – HANOI Depart for Mai Chau after breakfast, a trekking tour to visit Muong tribes and Thai minority village. Lunch in
house-on-stilts. Afternoon back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi. (B,L,D) Day
5 HANOI – HA LONG Depart for Halong. Enjoy the interesting 3-hour drive to Halong, along the way you will see rice fields, water
buffalos and daily Vietnamese village life. Upon arrival, take a five-hour
boat trip to visit Halong Bay, lunch on board.
Visit Thien Cung Cave
(grotto of the Heavenly Place) and Dau Go (grotto
of the wooden stakes). Enjoy sunset on the way back. Check in hotel.

6 HA LONG – HA NOI After breakfast,
transfer back to Hanoi, break the journey to visit
the embroidery factory of the disabled with wonderful works at unexpected
price. Arrive in Hanoi. Afternoon, free for shopping at leisure. Overnight in
Hanoi. (B,L,D) Day
7 HA NOI – HUE Transfer to Noi Bai airport for short
flight to Hue, the former Imperial capital of Vietnam. Transfer to hotel.
Afternoon boat trip on the romantic Perfume River to visit Hue’s best–known
religious site: Thien Mu pagoda, then land transfer
to visit the Imperial Citadel, Dong Ba market.
Enjoy traditional folk songs on Perfume River in the evening. Overnight in

8 HUE – DA NANG – HOI AN Visit the elaborate
Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc
then depart for Danang,
the scenic route passes the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co
before climbing over Hai Van pass (the pass of
ocean clouds). Arrive in Danang. Afternoon, visit
to Cham museum, the best collection of Cham artifacts in the world. On the
way to Hoi An, take a visit to the Marble Mountain, a large garden mount
complex and invaluable gift of nature, listed by the State as a national
heritage. Arrive in Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th
centuries. Overnight in Hoi An. (B,L,D) Day
9 HOI AN A boat tour on Thu Bon
River to visit traditional villages around Hoi An. Afternoon, take a walking
tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants' houses, the
400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, ancient pagodas and temples, and the colorful
market with shopping time. Overnight in Hoi An. (B,L,D) Day
10 HOI AN – SAIGON Leave Hoi An after
breakfast for Danang airport to take a short flight
to Saigon city. Transfer to hotel. An afternoon city tour of the dynamic Ho
Chi Minh, or Saigon, visit Cho Lon Market, Thien Hau Pagoda and Ben Thanh
market. Overnight in Saigon. (B,L,D) Day
11 SAIGON – VINH LONG – CAN THO Depart for Vinh Long, visit My Thuan
suspension bridge en route. Arrive in Vinh Long. A
boat trip on Mekong River to visit Cai Be floating
market, a typical bustling trade on water of southern
villagers. Continue to small channel of An Binh
Islet. Visit ceramic tile factory, ceramics, coconut candy factory, and a
rice husking business, stop to enjoy fruits in the orchards, home–made honey
alcohol, local traditional songs or visit famous
Bonsai of gardener Sau Giao,
sapling garden of Tam Ho. Trip to Can Tho after
lunch which will be served at local garden. Arrive in Can Tho.
Evening, visit Ninh Kieu
wharf, enjoy local traditional songs. Overnight in Can Tho.

12 CAN THO – SAIGON A boat tour on Mekong
River, enjoy splendid scenery and daily activities on water of the southern
villagers, watch from a viewing tower above the tree tops as thousands of
egrets and herons arriving to roost in the branches. Visit Cai Rang floating market, orchards and enjoy fruits. Pick
up at Cai Rang and trip back to Saigon city.

13 SAIGON – TAY NINH – CU CHI – SAIGON Enjoy a drive through
the typical southern Vietnamese countryside to Tay Ninh province in the west of Vietnam, visit the Cao Dai
temple with fantasy architecture and where all major faiths of the world
blend together in a unique religious cocktail and amazing noon ceremony.
After lunch in a local restaurant, visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels, the
vestiges of the American war, an underground tunnel system constructed by
Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence.
Back to Saigon city. Overnight in Saigon. (B,L,D) Day

shopping in Saigon city. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat
