saigon - CUCHI - DA LAT 5 days from Saigon to Saigon (PEV-S05-2) Vacation Overview Saigon lies between the Mekong Delta and South Vietnam. The city is the
second most important in Vietnam after Hanoi. The main ethnic groups
populating the area are the Kinh and Hoa. Over the past centuries, Saigon, once praised as the
“ Pearl of the Far East”, was known as an important
trading centre for Chinese, Japanese, and Western merchants who traveled
upstream the Saigon river to Pho island. The CuChi tunnels, a 75 mile-long underground maze, built over 25 years from the 1940s,
where thousands of fighters and villagers hid, are at the top of the list of
tourist magnets 45 miles to the southeast of Saigon city .
It was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storages, weapons
factories, field hospitals, and command centers. Dalat - The Disneyland of the central highlands, Dalat
(elevation 1475m) is in a temperate region dotted with lakes, waterfalls,
evergreen forests and gardens. The cool climate and the park-like environment
make this, in some respects, one of the most delightful cities in all of
Vietnam. Dalat is by
far Vietnam’s most popular honey moon spot. It’s also the favorite haunt of
Vietnamese artists and avant-garde types who have made this their permanent

SAIGON Arrive in Saigon city
by morning flight. Pick up at Tan Son Nhat airport.
Departure for Cuchi to visit Cuchi
underground tunnel. Back to Saigon. Transfer to hotel. Dinner on boat while

SAIGON – DA LAT Breakfast. Proceed to Dalat. Stopover to visit Pogour
waterfall. Overnight in DaLat. (B,L,D) Day 3
DA LAT Breakfast. (Taking the
cable car to) visit Truc Lam pagoda. Boat crusing on Tuyen Lam lake to
visit the small island. Visit Crazy House, Love valley, DaLat
embroidery workshop, DaLat market. Overnight in DaLat. (B,L,D) Day
4 DALAT – SAIGON Breakfast. Return to
Ho Chi Minh city. Arrival in Ho Chi Minh city. Short city tour or shopping.
